We’re first joined by former UFC middleweight champion and third-ranked middleweight Robert Whittaker (0:58). Next, eighth-ranked UFC welterweight Geoff Neal (14:22) comes on.
Robert Whittaker opens up the show to preview his UFC 298 co-main event fight against Paulo Costa. Whittaker talks about his loss to Dricus Du Plessis and what he took away from that fight. He then chats about if he had any hesitation in accepting this matchup due to Costa’s history of pulling out of fights. The former middleweight champion then chats about what a win over Costa does for him, his goal of retiring as UFC champion, and wanting rematches with Du Plessis and Adesanya.
Geoff Neal then comes on to talk about his UFC 298 main card fight against Ian Machado Garry. Geoff talks about the fight getting rescheduled and what he took away from the Irishman’s trash talk. The welterweight contender also talks about his last loss to Shavkat Rakhmonov and what he took away from that. He then chats about what a win over Garry does for him and the state of the welterweight division.
