Wanderlei Silva Accepts Rematch With Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson on One Condition
After Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson got on The MMA Hour and said he wanted a fourth — yes, fourth — fight with PRIDE and UFC veteran Wanderlei Silva, we had no idea what to think. However, all that really matters is what Bellator and Silva himself thinks. He caught wind of the offer and is all for the quadrilogy with Quinton Jackson, that is only if it takes place in the Brazilian’s hometown of Curitiba.
”I will [talk to Bellator president Scott Coker about the fight], but I want to do this rematch with ‘Rampage’ [Quinton Jackson] at Arena da Baixada, in Curitiba [Brazil]. I’ll put this as a condition, to be in my hometown. Then it would be worth the effort. Money alone isn’t worth it, it has to be something more, and that would be fighting in front of my friends in Curitiba. I’m kind of big, too, with 229 pounds. I’m training a bit stronger.”
After years of waiting, Rampage had finally done it…

“He’s fat. I want to beat him up like a roly-poly toy. I’d beat him up. I hate him so much. That knockout he gave me [at UFC 92], hit a lucky hand on my chin. And after I went down he went there and landed another one. I hate him. I only wait for the next one to return the favor. It will be a brawl, the way people want.” – Wanderlei Silva speaking to MMA Fighting.
The Arena da Baixada may not sound familiar, but you’ve definitely watched fights there in the past. This was the same venue that Fabricio Werdum fought Stipe Miocic in at UFC 198. Wanderlei Silva already handed two losses to Quinton Jackson, with Rampage only getting revenge once. He said he still owes Silva an ass whooping, but the series could be put to an end with three wins for Silva to Jackson’s one. It’s a risk Rampage is willing to take and a fight Wanderlei is willing to do if it’s in Brazil.
