REPLAY! Kyle Snyder Becomes Youngest U.S. World Wrestling Champion
At only 19 years-old, Ohio State wrestler Kyle Snyder is now the youngest U.S. world champion.
Snyder won the gold medal on Friday night at the United World Wrestling Championships 2015 in Las Vegas. Going in Snyder was ranked 15th in the world and pulled a big upset in the final match, defeating defending world champion, Russia’s Abdusalam Gadisov.
Snyder will be taking a year off from collegiate wrestling in hopes of chasing after a gold medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
