Report: Lavar Johnson forced off UFC on Fox 5 card with a torn groin | UFC News
It has been reported that a torn groin has forced UFC heavyweight Lavar Johnson (17-6 MMA, 2-1 UFC) to pull out of his scheduled bout with Brendan Schaub (8-3 MMA, 4-3 UFC) at UFC on FOX 5 set for Saturday December 8 at Key Arena in Seattle.
UFC President Dana White took to twitter to announce the unfortunate news just moments ago:
@danawhite: Lavar Johnson is out of the FOX prelims with a pulled groin. He was fighting Brendan Shcaub.
It is unclear at this time whether or not the UFC will seek a replacement for Schaub or just scratch the bout completely.
