Report: Ronda Rousey likely to appear in WWE ring again

Tom Taylor - November 23, 2016

Earlier today, we reported that Conor McGregor’s team said that they would be willing to entertain offers from WWE. If the Irishman were to accept an offer from the pro wrestling organization and step into the ring, he’d be following in the footsteps of another massive MMA star in Ronda Rousey. Rousey made her foray into the pro wrestling world at WrestleMania 31 in March of 2015, when she joined The Rock in the ring for a brief showdown with Stephanie McMahon and Triple H. During this skirmish, Rousey hip tossed Triple H out of the ring, and threatened McMahon with an armbar before chucking her out of the ring as well.

Miesha Tate predicts Ronda Rousey vs. Amanda Nunes

bjpenndotcom - November 2, 2016

In nearly two months, former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will step into the Octagon to fight women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes in the main event of UFC 207 in what is being marketed as the UFC’s New Year’s Eve card. Ahead of the fight, the MMA community is rather torn on their predictions for the highly anticipated scrap. While some believe that after over a year away from the Octagon, Ronda Rousey will return and make a statement by defeating Nunes and capturing the women’s bantamweight champion, others believe that the fight will play out much similar to the Rousey vs. Holm fight, which saw Rousey lose the women’s bantamweight championship at UFC 193, and Nunes will knock Rousey out.

Cris Cyborg reacts to Ronda Rousey retirement talk

bjpenndotcom - November 1, 2016

Invicta FC featherweight champion Cris Cyborg has continued to prove herself in the UFC, as she has gone 2-0, putting on spectacular performances as she has finished both Leslie Smith, and most recently Swedish striking ace Lina Lansberg. Although she is now 2-0 inside the Octagon, both fights have been at a catchweight of 140 pounds due to the fact that the UFC doesn’t have a women’s 145 pounds division. With that being said, Cyborg has continued to call for the UFC to create a women’s featherweight division, however UFC President Dana White has remained adamant that there simply aren’t enough female fighters competing at 145 pounds, where Cyborg reigns in Invicta FC, to warrant creating an entire division in the UFC around her. Despite White’s comments, Cyborg has continued to campaign for the UFC to create a women’s featherweight division.

That changed in November of 2015 in the main event of UFC 193 however when Rousey stepped into the Octagon with renowned striker Holly Holm. Just moments into the fight Holm began to land a cross, which continued to land on Rousey. Throughout the reamained of the first round, Holm picked apart the women’s bantamweight champion. In the second round, it took Holm just under a minute to finish the WMMA superstar with a brutal head kick.

Matt “The Immortal” Brown has had the bitter taste of defeat before but has always bounced back from adversity. The main event of UFC 207 will feature the return of former women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, who has been out of competition ever since losing the belt to Holly Holm at UFC 193 back in November 2015.
