The UFC women’s bantamweight title has been playing hot potato ever since the dominant women’s champion, Ronda Rousey was knocked from the top by Holly Holm’s head kick at UFC 193. In Holm’s first defense, she was submitted by Miesha Tate in the fifth round at UFC 196.

It’s now been nearly 8 months since former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey was knocked out cold by Holly Holm in the main event of UFC 193. Since then there has been much speculation as to whether or not Rousey would ever return to the Octagon given that she regularly receives offers to star in movies. While there has been no word from Rousey herself as to when she will return to the Octagon, UFC President Dana White recently revealed that the former champ is back training, and will be back in the Octagon by the end of the year.

During the UFC 199 broadcast this past weekend, it was announced that former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar, who currently competes in the WWE, would be making his return to MMA after nearly 5 years away from the sport. Lesnar, who will still be making an appearance at the next WWE pay-per view this summer, being granted permission from the WWE to fight at UFC 200 could very well be a move of good faith from the WWE, who reportedly are hoping to secure former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey for a match at WrestleMania 33.

Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has not fought in the Octagon since losing the belt to Holly Holm back in November 2015. Prior to her fight against Holm at UFC 193, Rousey told Rolling Stone she would be taking time off and wanted to “disappear for a while” as she had movie projects to take care of. “Rowdy” even made it known that she wanted to stay outside of the Octagon until UFC 200, but UFC President Dana White didn’t sound positive that Rousey would even be back to fight in 2016 in an interview on SportsCenter on Thursday.

It has only been 6 months since Ronda Rousey was brutally knocked out by Holly Holm in the main event of UFC 193 in Australia. With that being said, there has been much speculation as to when Rousey will return to the Octagon given that Miesha Tate is champion, Holly Holm was the first woman to defeat her, and Cris Cyborg is now in the UFC. While Rousey is currently filming movies in Hollywood, according to TerezOwens Rousey wants to return to the Octagon for a trilogy fight with Miesha Tate in November, a year following her loss to Holly Holm, and then start a family with Travis Browne.

Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has succumbed to make some changes to her autobiography to avoid a defamation lawsuit from her ex-manager Darin Harvey, according to Yahoo! Sports. Harvey claimed in a statement, ” … During the four years we worked together, Ronda easily won all her amateur fights, went 8-0 as a professional, became the first woman to sign with the UFC, and landed roles in several feature films. Her book failed to acknowledge the important role I played in all of that and, in my view, defamed me in several respects.”
