By Chris Taylor - September 18, 2016

According to a new report from MMA insider @TalkMMA, the UFC has some big plans for December’s UFC 207 event in Las Vegas.

Ronda Rousey

Dizz recently tweeted that the promotion is targeting a Ronda Rousey vs. Amanda Nunes women’s bantamweight title fight for their annual New Year’s Eve card in Sin City.

Check it out:

Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has not competed inside the octagon since her shocking KO loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193 in November of 2015. Prior to the title loss, “Rowdy” had completely dominated women’s mixed martial arts going a perfect 12-0, while scoring finishes in all twelve of those contests.

Meanwhile, Amanda Nunes became the UFC’s women’s bantamweight champion at July’s blockbuster UFC 200 event, when she scored a first-round submission victory over former title holder Miesha Tate. Nunes has now won four fights in a row, scoring finishes in three of those four victories.

In addition to Rousey vs. Nunes, the UFC is also targeting the following fights for the December 30th pay-per-view card in Las Vegas:

UFC light heavyweight title fight: Anthony Johnson vs. Daniel Cormier (champion)

UFC bantamweight title fight: Cody Garbrandt vs. Dominick Cruz (champion)

Heavyweight rematch: Cain Velasquez vs. Fabricio Werdum

Who do you think will emerge victorious if Ronda Rousey and Amanda Nunes square off for the promotions bantamweight championship at UFC 207 this December in Las Vegas? Sound off PENN Nation!
