VIDEO | Ronda Rousey and Agent Spotted having Dinner with Triple H
Last night, one of the UFC’s all-time biggest stars was seen possibly advancing closer to her next career. Former UFC and Strikeforce Bantamweight champion, Ronda Rousey has been rumored to be eventually making the leap on over to the wrestling entertainment world for a good while now. The top organization for professional wrestling is the WWE and one of Rousey’s close friends, Shayna Baszler has already made the full jump over as she’s now on their main roster. Rousey has already done a promo for the WWE…so the foundation has been laid out for her to really make the transition.
Paul “Triple H” Levesque is one of the most legendary wrestlers in the business and has been very involved with the company side of things ever since he married the chairman, Vince McMahon’s daughter, Stephanie in 2003. Triple H isn’t really active as a wrestler anymore at age 48 and has taken more of a business executive role over the recent years. Tuesday nights are days that WWE Smackdown airs and seeing how Triple H was spotted where Rousey was at the time of the show, he appears to have missed the show to negotiate possible deals with the former UFC champ…? He commented on the dinner today when speaking to the New York post:
“We caught up, had dinner and had some conversations, but we have nothing to announce at this time,” Levesque said. “As we’ve said, she’s interested in what we do, she loves it. We are interested in her as a human being even. She’s a fascinating person and an intense, incredible athlete. So we’ll see.”
“I had a really good steak,” he said. “It was very nice. We had a great time. It was very nice, until I had to run through the rain to try to avoid the paparazzi.”
Rousey last fought in MMA at UFC 207 on December 30, 2016, when she returned for the first time after losing for the first time to Holly Holm the year prior. She came back only to lose even quicker to the new champion, Amanda Nunes in just forty-eight seconds.
Wrestlemania 34 is coming up somewhat soon…
