Sean Brady forced out of UFC Atlantic City main event with Vicente Luque
Sean Brady has been forced out of UFC Atlantic City main event with Vicente Luque.
It was recently announced by UFC CEO Dana White that Sean Brady and Vincente Luque were going to headline the welterweight event on Saturday, March 30th at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Brady (16-1 MMA) last fought and defeated Kelvin Gastelum (18-9 MMA) by submission last December (see that here).
Luque (22-9 MMA) last fought in August of last year and defeated Rafael dos Anjos (32-15 MMA) by unanimous decision.
According to sources, the fight between Brady and Luque is off. Apparently, Brady is injured and never actually signed the agreement for the bout with ‘The Silent Assassin’.
MMA reporter, Harry Mac, took to ‘X‘ with the news:
“Hearing the fight is off at this point. UFC needs a new headliner for Atlantic City.”
“Source: Brady vs. Luque is in jeopardy and the fight is NOT actually signed. UFC in danger of losing their Atlantic City main event at the moment.”
MMAJunkie later confirmed that Sean Brady will not be able to fight on March 30th.
At this time, it’s uncertain as to whether Luque will remain on the lineup for UFC Atlantic City or if he’ll be reassigned to a future event.
