Undefeated boxing phenom Gervonta Davis (19-0) will return to the squared circle on April 21 at the Barclays Center in New York where he will square off with Jesus Cuellar for the vacant WBA Super Featherweight Title.

With that said, the Floyd Mayweather Jr. protégé, Davis, is apparently considering taking his talents to the UFC’s octagon.

The news comes shortly after UFC bantamweight Sean O’Malley tweeted out the following statement on Twitter:

“3-4 years I’ll be bustin up @Gervontaa in a super fight. @danawhite @ufc” – Sean O’Malley

Sean O’Malley’s tweet came shortly after his impressive decision victory over Andre Soukhamthath at UFC 222 and spawned the following reaction from Davis.

“I think I want to fight in the UFC.” – Gervonta Davis

The former IBF Junior Lightweight Title holder, Davis, then responded to UFC bantamweight Brian Kelleher who asked “what weight class in the UFC” Davis was looking at.

“Any one ill beat all y’all ass!” – Gervonta Davis

That statement from Davis prompted responses from both Brian “Boom” Kelleher and current UFC featherweight kingpin Max Holloway.

“Better work on that wrestling defense. I can show you it’ll be a fun time #boomtime” – Brian Kelleher

“Tell ya what you come over to this side and I’ll come over to your side after. Sounds fair to me.” – Brian Kelleher

“You can become a comedian too.” – Max Holloway

The Hawaiian champion was last seen in action at December’s UFC 218 event where he scored a third-round TKO victory over former title holder Jose Aldo.

“Blessed” was expected to headline last weekend’s UFC 222 event in Las Vegas against Frankie Edgar, but unfortunately was forced to withdraw from the card due to injury.

Max Holloway is now expected to defend his featherweight title against undefeated contender Brian Ortega, a bout which he hopes will take place at UFC 226 this July in Las Vegas.
