O’Malley, who is expected to face Merab Dvalishvili later this year, earned the 2024 ESPY Award for ‘Best MMA Fighter’ last weekend. He beat out other top UFC names such as Islam Makhachev and Alex Pereira for the award.

O’Malley had some stiff competition this year from the likes of UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Alex Pereira, UFC Lightweight Champion Islam Makhachev, and UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Zhang Weili. The “Suga” show now joins legendary names such as Conor McGregor, Ronda Rousey, and Demetrious Johnson for MMA fighters who have taken home ESPY awards.
