UFC bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley has revealed that he will be rocking special shorts at UFC 299.

UFC 299 takes place this weekend, on Saturday, March 9th at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.

Headlining the event is a Bantamweight Title Fight between Sean O’Malley (17-1 MMA) and Marlon Vera (23-8 MMA).

It will be O’Malley’s first title defense and it will be against the only fighter who has given him his first and only professional loss, Marlon Vera.

The 29-year-old O’Malley has won 5 in a row coming into Saturday’s bout, his most recent TKO victory came against Aljamain Sterling (23-4 MMA) for the title.

Vera, at 31, has won 5 of his last 6 fights in the Octagon, his most recent victory coming against Pedro Munhoz (20-8 MMA) in August of last year at UFC 292.

‘Chito’ and ‘Suga’ originally fought in August of 2020 at UFC 252. It was Vera who would defeat O’Malley by TKO at 4:40 of round 1.

O’Malley is looking to right that wrong this Saturday night.

Apparently, there has been a wardrobe change and O’Malley took to ‘X‘ with a short ‘video reveal’ to promote his new look for UFC 299 with the hashtag:

“4 days out from 299, go buy the PPV before it sells out!”

O’Malley, the current UFC bantamweight champion, will be sporting pink and gold shorts instead of the traditional black and gold shorts worn by champions.

What do you think of O’Malley’s new look?

Who are you betting on to be the victor at UFC 299 – O’Malley or Vera?
