Rising UFC middleweight contender Sean Strickland got into a bit of an altercation with BJJ world champion Orlando Sanchez this past week. Strickland and Sanchez were caught on video at RVCA in California practicing some grappling. Ultimately, it ended in less than a friendly manner as Strickland threw a spinning back fist and teep kick to Sanchez after Sanchez attempted an alleged “dirty” arm crank.

Sean Strickland admittedly has a hot temper in the gym. Consistently bouncing from location to location, the rising middleweight contender recently went to RVCA for some grappling where he ran into BJJ ADCC world champion, Orlando Sanchez.

A middleweight bout between Uriah Hall and Sean Strickland moved from UFC 265 and is now set as the main event for an upcoming Fight Night. Hall vs. Strickland is a battle between two of the top-15 ranked middleweights on the UFC roster. The fight was expected to serve as one of the five main-card bouts on the UFC 265 pay-per-view card in August, but instead, the fight was taken off that card and has now been shifted up a week. Hall and Strickland will now meet for five rounds or less in the main event of the UFC Fight Night card on July 31, according to ESPN’s Ariel Helwani.

An exciting middleweight bout between top-15 ranked fighters Uriah Hall and Sean Strickland will take place at the UFC 265 event this summer. ESPN’s Brett Okamoto was the first to report the Hall vs. Strickland matchup, which will take place on August 7 at UFC 265. The event currently does not have the main event scheduled for it, but it does feature UFC women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes against Julianna Pena. In addition, the card also features a pair of bantamweight bouts between Vince Morales and Drako Rodriguez, and Johnny Munoz and Jamey Simmons.

An exciting matchup between middleweights Sean Strickland vs. Brendan Allen has been added to this Saturday’s UFC Vegas 14 card. Strickland is making a quick turnaround after defeating Jack Marshman via unanimous decision in a fun fight that was filled with trash talk just a few weeks back. Allen, meanwhile, was supposed to fight Ian Heinisch in a high-profile middleweight bout at UFC Vegas 13, but the fight was scrapped on weigh-in day after Heinisch fell ill with COVID-19.

Strickland was at one point in time one of the top welterweight prospects in the UFC. But he missed the last two years after a devastating motorcycle accident left him injured and nearly forced him to retire from MMA. However, Strickland never lost focus of his goal to return to his career as an MMA fighter, and nearly two years to the day after his last fight against Nordine Taleb, “Tarzan” returned to the Octagon on Saturday against Marshman.

Sean Strickland didn’t know if he would make the walk to the ever Octagon again. In the middle of December of 2018, Strickland was driving back from King MMA on his motorcycle when he was involved in a serious accident. The crash was not his fault, but he went unconscious and did not wake up until hours later. He also needed surgery and when he woke up, doctors told him his fighting career was likely over.
