In the first five-round fight of his UFC career, Strickland used his jab to piece up Hall over the course of 25 minutes, while also mixing up power strikes and takedowns to seal the deal and pick up the biggest win of his career. With five straight victories, including a perfect 4-0 record in the UFC middleweight division, it is clear that Strickland is one of the best fighters in the world at his weight class, and he hopes to continue fighting bigger and better opponents. Though Strickland wasn’t able to get the finish over his former training partner, he dominated the fight with his striking and grappling to earn a clean sweep on the judges’ scorecards. It was the best performance of Strickland’s MMA career to date and by far the biggest win on his resume. Although 6ix9ine is a popular rapper, he is extremely controversial for his past, which includes a felony count of use of a child in a sexual performance in 2015, in which he made sexual videos of a 13-year-olf girl. Then in 2019, he agreed to a plea deal for two years in prison after agreeing to testify against the Nine Trey gang members. In August 2020, 6ix9ine was released early from his prison term, and he is now a free man, though his checkered past still continues to haunt him.
