Stephen Thompson sends a message to Rafael dos Anjos following UFC on FOX 26.
Former UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos improved his welterweight record to a perfect 3-0 by earning a lopsided unanimous decision victory over Robbie Lawler in the main event of UFC on FOX 26 last night in Winnipeg.
“RDA” was able to batter “The Ruthless One” with some nasty leg kicks early on in their fight which would leave Lawler basically fighting on one leg in rounds four and five.
The Brazilian standout, “RDA”, received a ton of high praise from fellow fighters following his decision victory over the former welterweight champion of the world.
Former UFC welterweight title challenger Stephen Thompson was quick to chime in on “RDA’s” impressive performance. “Wonderboy” took to Twitter where he not only congratulated Dos Anjos but also issued a challenge to the Brazilian standout.
That was a WAR! Hats off to both RDA and Robbie for that effort! I can be back in the Octagon this March. @RdosAnjosMMA , let’s give the fans another treat. We both want gold, it’s only fitting we battle for it! @ufc #UFCWinnipeg @danawhite

“Wonderboy” has fought for the UFC welterweight title on two occasions, with both fights coming against reigning division champion Tyron Woodley.
Unfortunately for Thompson, after battling Woodley to a draw at UFC 205, the striking wizard came up short on the judges scorecards in their rematch at UFC 209.
