Interim UFC lightweight champ Tony Ferguson responds to Khabib Nurmagomedov

Interim UFC lightweight champion Tony Ferguson has finally responded to Khabib Nurmagomedov.

The undefeated Russian standout, Nurmagomedov, made headlines earlier this week when he revealed that the UFC had offered him a fight with Tony Ferguson at UFC 219.

“To be clear I was offered to fight @TonyFergusonXT on December 30th and I accepted the fight but my focus is barboza. @danawhite @ufc” – Khabib Nurmagomedov

Two days later, after hearing nothing back from Ferguson, “The Eagle” would once again take to Twitter with the following.

“They talk about me when im injured, but I don’t hear them when im healthy, Where are they? @ufc” -Khabib Nurmagomdeov

It appears that Khabib’s second tweet was enough to trigger the UFC’s current interim lightweight champion as Tony Ferguson responded with the following statement.

“Listen Ya Fragile Fatass, The Last Time We Tried To Fight That Hat Of Yours Collected Cobwebs. How ‘Bout Ya Take A Number… Make Weight, Show Up & Shut Up. Who’s Irrelevant Now? -Thee MF’n Champ #SnapDownCityBitch SnapJitsu™#TeamTiramisu4L #Towel7 #JustSayNo” – Tony Ferguson

Khabib Nurmagomedov is set to square off with dangerous striker Edson Barboza at the UFC 219 event.

Perhaps if “The Eagle” can pullout an impressive victory, he and Ferguson may finally get to do battle in 2018.
