UFC lightweight Michael Chandler isn’t taking his matchup with Tony Ferguson lightly. The former Bellator lightweight champion is back for the first time since his loss to Justin Gaethje at UFC 268. Their bout was one of the best of 2021, but it did send Chandler to his second loss in a row. He had previously lost to Charles Oliveira at UFC 262 in May 2021 in a battle for the vacant lightweight title.

The former UFC interim lightweight champion is currently on a three-fight losing streak. ‘El Cucuy’ has suffered recent defeats at the hands of Justin Gaethje, Charles Oliveria, and Beneil Dariush. It’s worth noting that all three of those bouts were very lopsided as well.

However, a date hasn’t been known for the bout, as the UFC tried to set the fight for early summer but Ferguson wanted it sooner. It seems that the promotion has finally nailed down the fight and made it official.

To no surprise, Sean is not a fan of Tony and even claimed that Daniels, a current Bellator fighter, once knocked Ferguson out cold.

Conor McGregor says he will end Tony Ferguson’s life inside the Octagon if the two end up fighting. On Friday evening, McGregor took to social media to blast Ferguson, which isn’t the first time he has taken shots at him. However, he added to it saying he wants to end “El Cucuy’s” life in there.
