Triple H dismisses questions about Vince McMahon’s sexual abuse allegations during Royal Rumble press conference
Triple H dismissed questions surrounding Vince McMahon’s sexual abuse allegations during the Royal Rumble press conference on Saturday.
Over the weekend, WWE put on an incredible Royal Rumble event down in Florida as the road to WrestleMania began. However, there was a big cloud overshadowing the show from beginning to end. That cloud stems from the sex trafficking allegations that have been made against Vince McMahon, who resigned from TKO last week.
The expectation from many was that Triple H would have to face questions regarding the situation during the post-show press conference. Of course, that did wind up happening, but HHH wasn’t prepared to face the music.
HHH responds to McMahon allegations
“I’m going to do exactly what you would expect me to do here,” Triple H said. “Look, we just had an amazing week. A 10-year, $5 billion Netflix deal, ‘The Rock’ joining our board. We just sold out the Royal Rumble, put 48,000 people in Tropicana Field. I choose to focus on the positive. Yes, there’s a negative, but I want to focus on that and just keep it to that.”

Some will probably suggest that Triple H wouldn’t have been able to make any kind of comment either way. Others, meanwhile, will feel like this was the easy way out.
Whatever the case may be, it definitely feels like this is going to follow WWE around for quite some time as the countdown to WrestleMania 40 continues.
