Former UFC welterweight champ Tyron Woodley is planning to move up to middleweight, but no quite yet. Speaking at fan Q&A ahead of last weekend’s UFC Vancouver card, Woodley divulged that he first plans on fighting his welterweight nemesis Colby Covington, as well as the man who ended his reign as welterweight champ, Kamaru Usman — twice. From there, he plans to head north to the 185-pound middleweight division.

Dillon Danis didn’t hold back on social media yesterday. The New Jersey native trashed Tyron Woodley and his budding singing career in a Twitter post. He added the caption, “You know you hit rock bottom when you go to a Tyron Woodley concert.” Danis shared footage of Woodley performing in (what appears to be) a club. He is rapping to fans who are filming the event. Everyone in attendance was impressed, but Dillon Danis certainly was not.

Back in April, Tyron Woodley surrendered the UFC welterweight title to Kamaru Usman. Ever since, he’s been campaigning for a do-over with the new champion. Woodley once again called for that rematch with Usman over the weekend, shortly after news surfaced that negotiations for a bout between Usman and Colby Covington had fizzled. He did so in the replies to an Instagram post from ESPN reporter Ariel Helwani.

The former welterweight champion released this hip hop song on Youtube yesterday. “The Chosen One” has recently been exploring his music career. Earlier this year, he featured on a track by the Glacier Boyz and dropped bars with Wiz Khalifa. He even released a parody of the popular hit ‘Old Town Road’, where he took aim at Conor McGregor and Colby Covington.

Despite his best efforts, Woodley was never able to coax St-Pierre into the cage. Former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley recently posed for a photo with his former American Top Team training partner Jorge Masvidal, which ruffled some feathers in the MMA community, given that Masvidal just knocked out Woodley’s friend Ben Askren. One of the people to chime in on this issue is Bellator MMA star Dillon Danis. In fact, Danis has spent the better part of a week chastising Woodley on Twitter.

Tyron Woodley has been criticized by fans and fighters over taking pictures with Jorge Masvidal and “The Chosen One” has responded. Images surfaced of Woodley and Masvidal seemingly hanging out. Colby Covington and Dillon Danis ripped Woodley as he’s a close friend of Ben Askren, who was knocked out by Masvidal in five seconds. Woodley returned fire and said he and Masvidal were on the set for a cbdMD commercial. The former UFC welterweight champion also said he reached out to Askren on the matter.

It all started after photos surfaced of Woodley hanging out with Jorge Masvidal. ‘Gamebred’ had infamously knocked out T-Wood’s longtime friend and training partner Ben Askren earlier this month at UFC 239.

Dillon Danis has taken a shot at Tyron Woodley for hanging out and taking a picture with Jorge Masvidal. The former welterweight champion is good friends and training partners with Ben Askren, who “Gamebred” knocked out at UFC 239. It was a vicious knee that resulted in “Funky” being out cold for quite a while. There was also an intense lead up to the fight where Masvidal said he wanted to end the Askren bloodline. Jorge also that he planned on breaking Ben’s face.

The cause of his withdrawal is a hand injury, per ESPN reporter Brett Okamoto. BREAKING: Tyron Woodley has been forced to withdraw from his June 29 bout against Robbie Lawler due to injury, per sources. UFC looking for a replacement to keep Lawler on the card in Minneapolis. Tyron Woodley is no longer the UFC welterweight champ, having come up short to Kamaru Usman at UFC 235. Yet he believes he could be fighting for the belt again quite soon. Woodley is scheduled to take on Robbie Lawler — the man he knocked out to win the welterweight belt in 2016 — in the main event of UFC Minneapolis on June 29. If he can earn a second win over Lawler, he believes there will be no denying him a title shot next.
