Tyron Woodley has reacted after Jake Paul announced that he has moved on from a potential rematch with the former UFC champion. Paul defeated Woodley via split decision in a high-profile boxing match which took place this past August in Cleveland. It was a competitive contest, with ‘The Chosen One’ hurting the YouTube sensation and nearly earning a knockdown. However, Jake Paul would ultimately land the better volume of strikes throughout the course of the fight and walked away with the split decision victory.

YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul declined a rematch with Tyron Woodley, saying that “by the time he got the tattoo we had already moved on.” Paul defeated Woodley via split decision in a high-profile boxing match that took place at the end of the summer. It was a close fight, but ultimately Paul was more active throughout the contest and won the fight on the judges’ scorecards. Immediately after being announced as the loser of the fight, Woodley told Paul in the ring that he wanted to have a rematch. The deal was that if Woodley got the tattoo for losing to Paul that he would get to fight him a second time. Woodley eventually got the tattoo of “I Love Jake Paul” tattooed onto his finger, but by the time he got the tattoo, Paul had already moved on from him.

Jake Paul believes Tyron Woodley is a harder fight than his upcoming one against Tommy Fury. On Friday, it was made official that Paul will box Fury on December 18 in a highly-anticipated bout. Both men are social media stars and, but for Paul, he believes his last fight will be easier. He posted a video on his YouTube channel earlier this morning, hinting the fight was close to official and responded to some fan’s questions, where he didn’t think highly of Fury’s skills.

Bellator MMA fighter Dillon Danis claimed that former UFC champion Tyron Woodley was contractually not allowed to KO Jake Paul in boxing. Woodley and Paul met in a professional boxing match at the end of August in Paul’s backyard of Cleveland, Ohio. It was a competitive fight that went the full eight contracted rounds, but at the end of the fight, it was Paul who was awarded a split decision. Most people who watched agreed that Paul did enough work to win enough rounds on points to earn the decision, but it is also fair to say that Woodley had some of the biggest moments of the fight. Namely early on in the contest when he knocked Paul into the ropes.

Not only was there a lot of money and pride on the line, but the loser of the fight was also supposed to get a tattoo of the winner’s name on their body. However, after Paul was announced as the winner by split decision, Woodley said that he would only get the tattoo if Paul agreed to an immediate rematch. It’s been a month since the fight and there have been no signs that Paul has agreed to fight Woodley right away again, but Woodley made a rematch more interesting by deciding to get the tattoo.

Because Paul won the fight, Woodley was supposed to get the tattoo, but instead, he used it as a bargaining chip to secure a rematch. Woodley told Paul that if he agreed to the rematch, that he would get the tattoo. But at this point, Paul has not accepted the rematch with Woodley as he’s currently pursuing a fight against Tommy Fury in boxing instead. However, it appears that Woodley wants to be a man of his word and honor his bet with Paul to get the tattoo saying that he loves his opponent.

Former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley is set to return to the analyst desk at UFC Vegas 37 this Saturday night in Las Vegas, Nevada. Woodley will join Karyn Bryant and Alan Jouban on the analyst desk, according to MMAjunkie.com. Woodley has not worked on the desk since it was announced that he was stepping into the boxing ring to fight Jake Paul. In late August, Woodley finally fought Paul and lost a split decision. “The Chosen One” has been busy calling out Paul for a potential rematch but so far, Paul has resisted those requests. Either way, with Woodley likely not fighting until the end of the year, at least, he has more time to do other things that he enjoys doing, and one of those things is working as an analyst at the ESPN UFC desk.

The report indicates that other sources are suggesting the final figure could be slightly lower than that but ultimately, it’s going to be around the half a million range. Some will opt to see this as a decent outcome whereas others are of the belief that given the build it received, Paul vs Woodley probably should’ve done better in the long run.
