Paul (3-0), a famous YouTuber turned boxer, and Woodley (0-0), a former UFC welterweight champion, will square off in a boxing match on August 29 at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio.

Former UFC fighters Hector Lombard and Tyron Woodley got into a heated confrontation during Friday’s BKFC 19 event in Florida. Lombard, a former Bellator champion and current BKFC title holder, apparently had a score to settle with the former UFC welterweight champion and decided to confront Woodley at the event.

Instead of trying to re-up with the UFC on a new contract, Woodley instead became a free agent and he decided to take his talents to the boxing ring, as he will take on YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul on August 29 in what will be Woodley’s first professional boxing match.

Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley have made a tattoo-related bet for their upcoming boxing match on August 29. When Paul and Woodley had their first faceoff back in June, Paul offered Woodley a double-or-nothing bet. He said if the former UFC champ won, he would double his purse, yet if he loses, he would donate his entire fight purse to charity. Woodley never accepted the offer, but at the press conference, he says he wanted to accept the offer but wouldn’t give Paul the upper hand.

Ahead of their upcoming boxing match, Woodley revealed that he has been training with Mayweather, who is universally regarded as one of the greatest boxers of all time. There is also another connection with Mayweather and the Paul brothers, as Mayweather just fought Logan Paul to an eight-round No Decision in an exhibition bout.

Former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley is training with legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather ahead of the upcoming Jake Paul boxing match. Mayweather last month told the media that he was inviting Woodley to come to Las Vegas to work with him ahead of the Paul fight on August 28. Woodley said that he was going to take up Mayweather on the offer, and he’s done just that. On Thursday, “The Chosen One” took to his social media to reveal that he is training with Mayweather and shared photos.

Paul meets Woodley on August 28 in a professional boxing match promoted by Showtime PPV. For Paul, it’s his fourth pro boxing match and he earned the opportunity to fight a big name in the world of combat sports in Woodley after defeating his longtime friend and training partner Ben Askren in his last outing. For Woodley, after losing four straight fights in the UFC he was released and chose to fight Paul and earn a big payday in the process. This summer’s blockbuster PPV is expected to make both men several million dollars.

Tyron Woodley roasted Jake Paul over his failed Father’s Day joke: “You wouldn’t know nothing about getting strapped up. Only strap ons.” Paul recently posted a collage of photos of a number of his rivals — including his last opponent Ben Askren and his next opponent in Woodley — mostly in vulnerable situations. In Woodley’s photo, he looks emotional, and Paul was clearly trying to get in his head with the image. But it didn’t work, as Woodley said that he wasn’t emotional in the photo because he lost a fight, but rather that he was getting rewarded with his black belt. Paul, who’s currently 3-0 as a pro and has two first-round TKO’s and one second-round KO, will have his toughest test on August 28 against Woodley. It’s an intriguing matchup and both men have promised fairly early KOs as the brash YouTuber doesn’t think Woodley will be able to handle his power. Yet, if he does, he says he’s excited for that as he knows he has what it takes to box eight hard rounds.
