Tyron woodley lands role in major movie
Just days after winning the UFC welterweight championship by knocking out Robbie Lawler, UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley has landed a role in the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming film set to release on July 7th, 2017.
Woodley revealed brief details on the film to The MMA Hour:
“I don’t know if I can even say this, but I’m working on a Marvel movie on Thursday in Atlanta.”
Woodley isn’t the first UFC champion to hit the big screen. In addition to former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey’s active acting career, former UFC welterweight kingpin Georges St-Pierre had a role as a bad-guy in ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier.’
