UFC 208 medical suspensions: Dustin Poirier out indefinitely

This past weekend at UFC 208, Germaine de Randamie stepped into the Octagon for her highly anticipated inaugural women’s featherweight title fight against former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm. After a back and forth 5-round scrap, complete with a bit of controversy, De Randamie was crowned the inaugural women’s featherweight champion.

In the co-main event, UFC icon Anderson ‘The Spider’ Silva snapped a 2-fight losing streak as he picked up a unanimous decision win over Derek Brunson, moving one step closer to potentially reclaiming the UFC middleweight championship. In addition, Ronaldo Jacare Souza also moved one step closer to capturing the UFC middleweight championship as he defeated Tim Boetsch via submission in the very first round.

Glover Teixeira: suspended 7 days

Jared Cannonier: suspended 7 days

Dustin Poirier: suspended indefinitely pending commission clearance

Jim Miller: suspended a minimum 30 days pending commission clearance

Randy Brown: suspended 7 days

Belal Muhammad: suspended 7 days

Wilson Reis: suspended 7 days

Ulka Sasaki: suspended 7 days

Nik Lentz: suspended a minimum 30 days pending commission clearance

Islam Makhachev: suspended a minimum 30 days pending commission clearance

Ryan LaFlare: suspended 30 days

Roan Carneiro: suspended a minimum 30 days pending commission
clearance

Rick Glenn: suspended a minimum of 45 days pending commission clearance

It is important to mention that fighters who received a 7 day suspension were given the minimum required suspension, and are able to return to action on the 18th of February.
