VIDEO | New promo highlights UFC 213’s two epic title fights

By Tom Taylor - June 14, 2017

Every July, at the climax of its exciting International Fight Week, the UFC promotes a stacked, mega-card in Las Vegas. This year, that card is UFC 213, which goes down on July 8 in the T-Mobile Arena.

UFC 213

Though UFC 213 took a real hit when its originally planned main event – a men’s bantamweight title fight between champ Cody Garbrandt and heated rival TJ Dillashaw  – fell through, it still stands out as one of the finest cards of the year thus far.

In the main event, we’ll see women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes attempt to defend her title against an old foe in Kyrgyzstan’s Valentina Shevchenko, who she narrowly defeated back in early 2016. Nunes will enter this fight having recently mauled Miesha Tate and Ronda Rousey, while Shevchenko is riding high on back-to-back wins over Holly Holm and Julianna Pena.

UFC 213’s co-main event, meanwhile, will see Australia’s Robert Whittaker collide with Cuba’s Yoel Romero in an interim middleweight title fight. This fight was created in an effort to keep the UFC middleweight division moving while the reigning champ, Michael Bisping, nurses an injury.

In advance of this anticipated card, the UFC has released an incredible promo for these two mammoth title fights. This promo, which can be viewed below, will leave you counting the days to July 8.

The appeal of UFC 213 doesn’t end with its duo of title fights. The card will also feature a welterweight war between fan favorites Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone and Robbie Lawler, a heavyweight rematch between Fabricio Werdum and Alistair Overeem, and a lightweight battle between Anthony Pettis and Jim Miller.

Who are you picking in UFC 213’s pair of title fights? Which of the many exciting fights on the bill are you most excited for? Weigh in on this anticipated card in the comments section.
