UFC 217 Results: Ovince Saint Preux KO’s Corey Anderson (Highlights)

A light heavyweight scrap between Ovince Saint Preux and Corey Anderson took place during tonight’s UFC 217 prelims in New York.

Round one begins and “OSP” throws a big front kick early. He lands a nice left hand and then another. Anderson fires back with a right. Corey shoots in and scores a double leg takedown. “OSP” scrambles up to his feet but Anderson drags him right back down to the canvas. Anderson is looking to take the back but “OSP” gets back to his feet and breaks free. Saint Preux lands a left hand as Anderson is coming in. Corey presses “OSP” against the fence and begins working hard for a single leg takedown. He can’t get it. Anderson postures up and then lands a beautiful spinning elbow. He follows that up with a left hand and then presses “OSP” against the cage. Anderson with a knee to the mid section. One minute remains in round one. “OSP” is able to break Anderson’s hold and then circles off the fence. Saint Preux with a left hand and then knee. Anderson pushes “OSP” back against the cage. Saint Preux once again shakes free and then lands a big combination. Anderson is hurt. Another left puts Corey on the floor. “OSP” rushes at him but the horn sounds to end round one.

Round two begins and “OSP” lands a massive head kick early. He comes after Anderson with punches but the referee steps in because Corey lost his mouthpiece. Terrible timing for “OSP”. We restart and Anderson quickly shoots in and presses Ovince against the cage. He lands a knee from the position. “OSP” breaks free and scores a nice left hand. Anderson quickly shoots in and takes Saint Preux down to the floor. He begins working some ground and pound and after a scramble winds up on the back of “OSP”. Saint Preux is able to stand back up but Anderson still has his back. Corey uses a trip to take him back down to the floor. “OSP” is able to scramble back to his feet. Round two comes to an end with the fighters battling in the clinch.

Round three begins and Anderson is able to land a nice right hand over the top. “OSP” misses with a left hook. Another right hand finds a home for Anderson. “OSP” circles and then lands a massive head kick. Anderson is out cold! WOW!
