UFC Fortaleza weigh-in results: Main event gets green light, one fighter makes major miss

On Saturday night, the UFC will return to the streaming service ESPN+ with the exciting UFC Fortaleza card.

This card will be headlined by a bantamweight number-one-contender fight between Marlon Moraes and Raphael Assuncao. The pair have fought before previously, with Assuncao earning a controversial split decision victory.

The card will also feature the return of former UFC featherweight champ Jose Aldo and Brazilian MMA legend Jose Aldo, who takes on the streaking Renato Moicano.

Elsewhere on the card, we’ll witness appearances from promising prospects like Johnny Walker and Livia Renata Souza and battle-tested veterans like Thiago Alves and Demian Maia.

On Friday morning, the 26 fighters on the UFC Fortaleza stepped onto the scales to weigh in for their respective battles. While the main event fighters hit their marks, undercard fighter Sarah Frota had a significant slip-up, missing the strawweight limit by seven pounds. Magomed Bibulatov also missed the flyweight limit by one pound.
