UFC Fight Night 108 Results: Hector Sandoval KO’s Matt Schnell

A flyweight bout between Hector Sandoval and Matt Schnell kicked off tonight’s UFC Fight Night 108 fight card in Nashville.

Round one begins and Schnell gets things started with a low kick. Sandoval answers back but then gets countered by a left. The fighters trade shots in the pocket. Sandoval looks for a takedown. The fighters exchange a flurry of punches. The crowd is loving that. Sandoval goes back to working for a takedown. Schnell jumps on him and drops for an armbar. It is not there. He switches to a guillotine but Hector is able to escape the hold. Fast paced start to this one. Sandoval comes forward with a big right hand and then shoots in for a takedown. He gets it but Schnell is quickly back to his feet. Sandoval scores with a left hand. Schnell replies with a hard low kick. Sandoval shoots for a takedown and gets it, but Schnell locks in a guillotine. The submission is in tight. Sandoval lifts up and slams him to the floor. A second slam allows Sandoval to pull his head free. Sandoval postures up and drops down some big hammer fists. More hammer fists and Schnell is out cold.
