UFC 202 Results: Marvin Vettori submits Alberto Uda

A lightweight bout between Alberto Uda (9-2 MMA) and Marvin Vettori (11-2 MMA) kicked off tonight’s UFC 202 event in Las Vegas.

Round one begins and Vettori starts things off with a kick to the body. Uda replies with a kick of his own. Vettori presses forward and clinches up with Uda. Alberto reverses the position and scores a trip-takedown. Vettori scrambles and gets back to his feet and then scores a takedown. He begins working from the full guard of Uda. Vettori with some decent shots from the top. Uda lands a slicing elbow from the bottom that splits Vettori open. The Italian continues to work some solid ground and pound. Uda scrambles and gives up his back. Vettori sinks in a guillotine choke and it is deep. Uda is forced to tap.
