Aljamain Sterling blasts UFC for uncertainty at 125, 135

By Tom Taylor - March 21, 2019

Things are very uncertain in the UFC flyweight and bantamweight divisions at present.

At flyweight, reigning champ Henry Cejudo is floating the idea of moving up to bantamweight, while there’s also been rampant talk of shutting down his division altogether.

At bantamweight, the title is vacant, as TJ Dillashaw has stepped down after an unfortunate USADA violation, and it’s unclear how the UFC will handle the situation.

Aljamain Sterling, a staple of the bantamweight top-10 is tired of the uncertainty that’s swallowed up these two weight classes. He let the UFC know on Twitter.

See what he had to say below:

“If you guys are NOT getting rid of 125 lbs in the @UFC. Then WTF are we doing here?! Let @HenryCejudo defend against a guy that beat him in @JoeJitsu, and let the 135ers, that been putting in work, fight for the vacant title! Make up your minds for 125lbs! #ThisIsOurLifeToo!

“Us fighters give our lives for this shit! Our bodies, our mental, and our time with family, all for one goal— to become a world champion! What else does a fighter have to do?! Just tell me, so we can stop wasting time! This suspense shit is for the fucking birds.

“Close out 125 lbs or stop the circus! I never liked clowns anyway.

“What other 135er is willing to talk their shit and swallow their words for a dream?? None! It takes balls and I got big moreno ones swanging! #NeverScared

“UFC brass don’t know what it’s like to be on the receiving end of a KO Lowlight, and battling back from that. Most men quit or are never the same fighter! I wear my heart on a sleeve for the world to judge and here TF I am! My story will be one I’m proud of! Mark my words!

“Suck it” – Aljamain Sterling on Twitter.

Suffice it to say that Aljamain Sterling wants some answers.
