Boxer claims Conor McGregor hit him with an ugly cheap shot
Conor McGregor competed in an exhibition boxing match last week in Dublin and is being accused of hitting his opponent with a cheap shot.
McGregor’s opponent, Michael McGrane, told TMZ that ‘Mystic Mac’ struck him with the “cheapest shot” he’s ever seen in his life.
“It was the cheapest shot I ever caught in me life, man.”
When the bell rang to signal the start of the match, McGrane says he expected Conor to touch gloves, but instead was struck by a left hook from the former two-division UFC champion.
“You’re meant to go back to your corner, but Conor never went back to his corner,” McGrane says … “Conor leaped at me with a left hook.”
In addition to receiving a cheap shot, Michael McGrane claims that officials had the fight rigged for Conor McGregor.
“The ref was on his side. There’s no way I would have won that fight unless I knocked him out.”
Conor McGregor is still lobbying for a rematch with current UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
McGregor and lost to the undefeated Russian via fourth round submission at UFC 229 this past October.
