Dana White meets with boxing promoter Eddie Hearn
UFC President Dana White has recently laid out plans to venture into the boxing business, and on Monday, he gave us reason to believe these plans could actually be taking shape.
On his official Twitter account, the UFC boss shared a photo of himself and English boxing promoter Eddie Hearn meeting at the UFC Performance Institute in Las Vegas.
“Uh Oh!!!!!!!!” – Dana White on Twitter.
Eddie Hearn is the promoter behind a number of boxing superstars, including Anthony Joshua, Oleksandr Usyk, Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, Amir Khan, Kell Brook, and Daniel Jacobs, who is set to battle Canelo Alvarez on Saturday night. Hearn is in Las Vegas for Jacobs’ fight with Canelo, but his meeting with Dana White is definitely cause for speculation.
White has long hinted at a Zuffa Boxing venture, and very recently updated on these plans, suggesting he will start making moves in boxing after this summer.
“I am making all my boxing moves after this summer,” White said during a recent interview with CNN Sport (transcript via MMA Mania). “When this summer is over, you’ll be hearing a lot about what I’m doing in the sport of boxing.”
What do you think will come of this meting between Dana White and Eddie Hearn?
