Dana White on Justin Bieber vs. Tom Cruise: ‘We can talk’

By Tom Taylor - June 17, 2019

Justin Bieber recently made his way into MMA headlines by calling for a fight with Mission Impossible star Tom Cruise and asking the UFC President Dana White to promote it.

“I wanna challenge Tom Cruise to fight in the octagon,” Bieber wrote. “Tom if you dont take this fight your’re scared and you will never live it down. Who is willing to put on the fight? @danawhite?”

Since then, Justin Bieber has walked back this callout, claiming that he was just messing around.

“I was just playing,” the pop star told TMZ. “It was just a random tweet. I do that stuff sometimes. I think he would probably whoop my ass in a fight. He’s got that dad strength.”

If Bieber ever does get serious about fighting Tom Cruise, however, it sounds like he will have the ear of Dana White. White addressed this strange situation in a recent conversation with with LVSportsBiz’s Guerilla Cross Radio,

”I didn’t know if it was real or not,” White said when asked about this celebrity fight (transcript via MMA Mania). “I still don’t know if it’s real. Everybody is talking about it, but Justin hasn’t contacted me.”

”Listen, first of all, maybe Justin Bieber wants to fight Tom Cruise for whatever reason. I highly doubt Tom Cruise wants to fight Justin Bieber. I’m 50, I think Tom Cruise is 56. I don’t think anyone who’s 56 is looking to fight anybody. But I’ll tell you this, if Justin Bieber wants to fight Tom Cruise, and Tom Cruise wants to fight Justin Bieber, we can talk.”

Who do you think would win a fight between Cruise and Bieber?
