Daniel Cormier and Sergio Mora get heated over Canelo-Jacobs commentary

By Tom Taylor - May 6, 2019

Like many combat sports fans, Daniel Cormier was tuned into the headline dominating boxing match between Canelo Alvarez and Daniel Jacobs on Saturday night. Yet while he enjoyed the action, he did not enjoy the ring-side commentary from former WBC champ Sergio Mora and Brian Kenny.

“Brian Kenny and Sergio Mora really suck! Canelo won but Danny fought a good fight man wtf they ruined the fight,” Cormier wrote on Twitter.

It didn’t take long for Mora to respond to this comment from Daniel Cormier. Unsurprisingly, he didn’t take it well.

“Sorry you thought I sucked champ,” Mora wrote in his reply to Cormier. “I think your striking sucks. Let me work with you so @JonnyBones doesn’t kick your ass for a third straight time.”

Daniel Cormier then fired back, roasting Mora for his comparative lack of Twitter followers.

“Pretty good Serg so let me retweet so that people actually see it,” Cormier wrote. “You have 10k followers. We can’t waste good material can we? You sure didn’t have any last night during the fight.”
