Robert Whittaker, Kelvin Gastelum

This evening’s main event was expected to feature reigning UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker taking on surging division contender Kelvin Gastelum.

However, earlier this afternoon UFC President Dana White revealed to ESPN’s Brett Okamoto that Whittaker had been forced off the card due to injury.

According to the brash UFC boss, Robert Whittaker had been complaining about pain in his abdomen area. “The Reaper” was then taken to the hospital where doctors found a hernia. White added that Robert Whittaker will be undergoing the surgery for his hernia later today.
