Lightweight arch rivals Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov have been ramping up the trash talk over the last few days, and the latter just took things to a new and unprecedented level.

Speaking on Twitter, Khabib Nurmagomedov boldly referred to Conor McGregor as a “rapist,” referencing the sexual assault accusations the Irishman is currently facing. He also shared a picture of McGregor and a woman who has claimed to be the mother of one of his children.

See Nurmagomedov’s incendiary Tweet below:

“Rapist, you are Rapist. You are a hypocrite who is not responsible for your actions. Justice will find you. We will see. @TheNotoriousMMA” – Khabib Nurmagomedov on Twitter.

Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov fought in October of 2018, in the main event of the record-breaking UFC 229 pay-per-view. Nurmagomedov won this fight by fourth-round submission, retaining his lightweight title in the process.

Since then, the two rivals have unendingly swapped trash talk on social media and in interviews. Their mutual animosity has spiked to new heights over the last week, most notably when McGregor made a particularly virulent comment targeting Nurmagomedov’s wife.

What do you think of the ongoing beef between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor? Are you surprised to see how personal their social media war has gotten?
