Khabib Nurmagomedov jokes that he would have smashed Dana White’s car if he didn’t receive lightweight belt

Shortly after Khabib Nurmagomedov defended the UFC lightweight title with a fourth-round submission of Conor McGregor, he leapt over the side of the Octagon and attacked McGregor’s training partner Dillon Danis, inciting a riot between his and McGregor’s teams.

As you can probably imagine, UFC President Dana White was not too impressed by this chaotic scene. In fact, the UFC boss was so upset with Khabib Nurmagomedov that he did not initially put the UFC lightweight title around the champ’s waist.

Eventually, however, Nurmagomedov was reunited with his lightweight title, and from the sounds of it, that’s a damn good thing for Dana White.

Speaking on Instagram post-fight, Nurmagomedov joked that, had he not received his belt, he would have smashed the UFC President’s car.

“[Dana White] you lucky that you give my belt, or I would smash your car, I know your parking location,” Khabib Nurmagomedov said in the caption for a photo that showed him sitting on the hood of the UFC’s president’s BMW.

Given Khabib Nurmagomedov’s erratic behaviour earlier that same evening, it would be understandable if Dana White didn’t have much of a sense of humor about this post. Apparently, however, he found it very funny.

“LMFAO!!! I’m telling your father,” White said in the replies to Nurmagomedov’s post.

Khabib Nurmagomedov’s father, of course, is a notorious disciplinarian when it comes to the champion. Post-fight, the elder Nurmagomedov assured that he would punishing his son even more severely than the UFC or the Nevada Athletic Commission for his role in the UFC 229 post-fight riot.

“I will impose a punishment tougher than the UFC’s,” the elder Nurmagomedov told Tass.ru, (translation via Bloody Elbow). “I warned him. For me, discipline comes first. You do whatever you want in the Octagon, [but] outside — this is the border of civilians, where there are children, women, strangers.”

What do you think of this joke from Khabib Nurmagomedov?
