Khabib Nurmagomedov’s father has forgiven Conor McGregor following UFC 229 and has apparently invited the Irish star to come and visit Dagestan.

The news comes just two weeks after Abdulmanap’s son, undefeated UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, defeated Conor McGregor in the main event of UFC 229.

The Eagle” was able to use his strong grappling skills to frustrate the Irish superstar for the better part of fifteen minutes at UFC 229, this before eventually locking in a fight-ending neck crank submission in round four.

The bad blood between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor began when “The Eagle” confronted one of the Irishman’s teammates Artem Lobov prior to April’s UFC 223 event in Brooklyn.

Khabib’s actions towards “The Russian Hammer” caused Conor McGregor to lose control, which resulted in the now infamous bus attack at the Barclay’s Center.

The animosity between the two fight camps only grew from there, as both men and their respective associates continued to exchange unpleasantries right up until UFC 229.

Despite Conor McGregor insulting his son, country and team, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov claims to have forgiven “Mystic Mac” and has even extended an invitation to the Irishman to come visit Dagestan.

“Distinguished guests, I invite again to the tournament our close friend [actor and former UFC fighter] Oleg Taktarov and McGregor,” Abdulmanap stated via Russia Today. “I said that I forgive him [for all the insults], it’s important to be kind-hearted!”

Conor McGregor (21-4 MMA) called for an immediate rematch with Khabib Nurmagomedov (27-0 MMA) shortly following his loss at UFC 229.

With that said, according to UFC President Dana White the promotion is planning on having Tony Ferguson be the next man to challenge “The Eagle”.

No matter what happens in regards to Nurmagomedov’s next title defense, it will be interesting to see how Conor McGregor chooses to respond to Khabib’s father Abdulmanap’s recent comments and invitation to Dagestan.
