A featherweight matchup between Ricardo Lamas (18-7) and Darren Elkins (24-6) has been added as the co-main event of UFC Argentina on November 17. UFC officials confirmed the news on Tuesday. Lamas is coming off back-to-back losses for the first time in his career after having fought Josh Emmett and Mirsad Bektic. “The Bully” will be looking for his first win since July 2017, where he finished Jason Knight first-round TKO at UFC 214.

Shortly after undefeated UFC lightweight champ Khabib Nurmagomedov submitted Conor McGregor in the main event of UFC 229 earlier this month, he careened over the side of the Octagon and attacked McGregor’s training partner Dillon Danis. Seconds later, McGregor was getting into it with several of Nurmagomedov’s training partners inside the cage. It was a truly chaotic end to an otherwise hugely successful night for the UFC. In the wake of this post-UFC 229 brawl, dozens of members of the MMA community spoke up to share their distaste for the chaotic scene. Yet UFC President Dana White feels he was the only one that as truly bothered by it.

Joe Duffy (16-3) hasn’t competed since UFC 217 in Nov. 2017 where he was knocked out for the first time in his career, courtesy of James Vick. The setback snapped the 30-year-old’s two-fight win streak. He’s currently 2-2 in his last four fights and 4-2 in the octagon. Duffy holds wins over UFC veteran Norman Parke, Reza Madadi. and of course, Conor McGregor. The Tristar Gym product has never lost back-to-back fights in his career.
