Pros react to Kelvin Gastelum vs Israel Adesanya at UFC 236

Kelvin Gastelum and Israel Adesanya squared off for the promotions interim middleweight title in the co-headliner if tonight’s UFC 236 main event.

Kelvin Gastelum entered tonight’s contest on the heels of back-to-back victories over Michael Bisping and Jacare Souza.

Meanwhile, Israel Adesanya was most recently seen in action at UFC 234, where he defeated Anderson Silva via unanimous decision. “Stylebender” entered tonight’s contest sporting an undefeated professional record of 16-0.

Tonight’s UFC 236 co-main event was an absolute war with both fighters landing massive shots in a fight to be remembered.

Gastelum dropped Israel in round one, but Adesanya was able to battle through adversity to tie up the score cards heading into the fifth and final round.

Adesanya would go on to dominate the final five minutes on route to a unanimous decision victory.
