UFC 236: Max Holloway vs Dustin Poirier Live Results

Current UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway will square off with Dustin Poirier for the promotions interim lightweight title in tonight’s UFC 236 headliner.

Tonight’s main event will serve as a rematch, as Poirier and Holloway first met in 2012 with “The Diamond” emerging victorious by way of submission.

Since then, Max Holloway has gone 16-2 and will enters tonight’s contest on a thirteeen fight win streak. In his latest effort, “Blessed” brutalized Brian Ortega at UFC 231.

Meanwhile, Dustin Poirier has gone 12-4 since defeating Holloway in 2012. “The Diamond” will enter tonight’s interim lightweight title bout on a four-fight win streak. In his most recent outing at UFC Calgary, Poirier defeated former champ Eddie Alvarez via TKO.

In the co-headliner of tonight’s UFC 236 event in Atlanta, Kelvin Gastelum and Israel Adesanya will square off for the promotions interim middleweight title.

Kelvin Gastelum is coming off back-to-back victories over Michael Bisping and Jacare Souza in his most recent efforts.

Meanwhile, Israel Adesanya was most recently seen in action at UFC 234, where he defeated Anderson Silva via unanimous decision. “Stylebender” will enter tonight’s contest sporting an undefeated professional record of 16-0.
