UFC 238 | Pros react after Henry Cejudo TKO’s Marlon Moraes

By Chris Taylor - June 8, 2019

Reigning UFC flyweight champ Henry Cejudo moved up in weight to square off with Marlon Moraes for the promotions vacant bantamweight title at UFC 238.

The title fight served as the event headliner tonight in Chicago.

The former Olympic gold medalist, Cejudo, returned to the cage for the first time since January tonight in Chicago.

In his most previous effort, Henry Cejudo had defeated TJ Dillashaw via knockout in just 26-seconds to retain his flyweight strap.

Cejudo was attempting to become the fourth fighter in promotional history to earn ‘champ champ’ status.

Meanwhile, Marlon Moraes entered tonight’s UFC 238 main event on a four fight win streak. During that impressive stretch ‘Magic’ scored sensational stoppage wins over Jimmie Rivera, Aljamain Sterling and most recently Raphael Assuncao.

Tonight’s UFC 238 main event was a back and forth war. After being battered by Moraes leg kicks in round one, Henry Cejudo was able to comeback and earn a TKO victory in round three.

With his win at UFC, Henry Cejudo is now a ‘champ champ’ owning titles at flyweight and bantamweight.
