The 31-year-old, Calvillo, was escorted to the weigh-in room where she struggled to step and remain on the scale.

Calvillo ultimately weighed-in at 118lbs, two pounds over the UFC women’s non-title fight strawweight limit.

The video of Calvillo’s UFC Argentina weigh-in quickly made the rounds amongst the MMA community.

Many fighters took to Twitter to share their respective thoughts on the scary footage from the UFC Argentina weigh-ins.

Cynthia Calvillo will still compete at tonight’s UFC Argentina event, but will now be forced to surrender 20% of her fight purse to Poliana Botelho.

Calvillo’s coach, Justin Buckholz, explained why his fighter was in such rough condition at the UFC Argentina weigh-ins.

“She had a brutal cut because she got her period.” Buckholz explained. “She work up at 118-pounds, 2-pounds over. We cut from 5:30 am to 9:00 am with Lockhart and Leith. We used baths, saunas, a rubber suit, treadmill, bike, but still nothing was coming off.”

UFC Argentina is headlined by a key welterweight bout featuring Santiago Ponzinibbio taking on Neil Magny.

In the co-main event of the evening featherweight standouts Ricardo Lamas and Darren Elkins will throw down in hopes of advancing the 145-pound ranks.
