UFC Fortaleza Results: Jose Aldo TKO’s Renato Moicano (Video)

A key featherweight bout between former division champion Jose Aldo and surging contender Renato Moicano co-headlined tonight’s UFC Fortaleza event.

Renato Moicano entered tonight’s contest on a two fight win streak, his latest being a submission victory over Cub Swanson.

Meanwhile, Jose Aldo was last seen in action at July’s UFC on FOX event in Calgary, where he scored a first-round TKO victory over Jeremy Stephens.

Round one begins and Moicano throws a front kick as Aldo attempts to enter the pocket. Renato with a spinning attack. Aldo avoids. Jose with a combination. He follows that up with a pair of low kicks. Both men seem happy to stand and trade. They exchange low kicks and then punches. The pace slows down towards the end of round one.

Round two begins and Moicano works some early leg kicks and jabs. He attempts a knee but Aldo counters with a punch. Moicano is hurt! Body shots from Aldo now. The referee has see enough this one is all over!
