UFC London loses a fight on just hours notice
Today’s UFC London event is down to twelve bouts, this after a scheduled middleweight fight was recently scrapped due to one fighters health issues.
UFC middleweight Tom Breese has been forced out of his slated preliminary bout with Ian Heinisch.
Heinisch (12-1 MMA) announced the news on his official Instagram page.
“I was 100% physically and mentally ready for tonight I worked so hard for this fight,” Heinisch posted. “My coaches, manager, teammates, family and sponsors came out to support me through this whole process. Unfortunately my opponent is going through some health issues right now and he pulled out of the fight.”
This marks the third proposed bout in two years that Tom Breese (11-1 MMA) has been forced out of due to health issues.
Breese was last seen in action at last years UFC Liverpool event, where he scored a first-round TKO victory over Dan Kelly.
Officials have yet to make a formal announcement, but today’s UFC London event is now down to twelve bouts (6 prelims, 6 main card).
Tonight’s UFC on ESPN+ 5 event is headlined by a welterweight bout featuring former title challenger Darren Till taking on perennial division contender Jorge Masvidal.
