A middleweight bout between Uriah Hall and Sean Strickland moved from UFC 265 and is now set as the main event for an upcoming Fight Night. Hall vs. Strickland is a battle between two of the top-15 ranked middleweights on the UFC roster. The fight was expected to serve as one of the five main-card bouts on the UFC 265 pay-per-view card in August, but instead, the fight was taken off that card and has now been shifted up a week. Hall and Strickland will now meet for five rounds or less in the main event of the UFC Fight Night card on July 31, according to ESPN’s Ariel Helwani.

An exciting middleweight bout between top-15 ranked fighters Uriah Hall and Sean Strickland will take place at the UFC 265 event this summer. ESPN’s Brett Okamoto was the first to report the Hall vs. Strickland matchup, which will take place on August 7 at UFC 265. The event currently does not have the main event scheduled for it, but it does feature UFC women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes against Julianna Pena. In addition, the card also features a pair of bantamweight bouts between Vince Morales and Drako Rodriguez, and Johnny Munoz and Jamey Simmons.

UFC middleweight Uriah Hall reacted to beating Chris Weidman via injury TKO, saying that “I just wish him and his family well.” The first kick that Weidman threw on Hall saw him break his leg in one of the most grusome injury TKOs we have ever seen in MMA. It was a nasty injury and very reminiscent of Anderson Silva’s leg break over Weidman in 2013. For both Hall and Weidman, it was a terrible situation to be involved in. With Weidman, his career could be in jeopardy now following such a severe injury, while for Hall it’s a bizarre way for him to avenge his loss to Weidman from 2010. It was an unfortunate way the fight ended.

Dana White has provided an update on Chris Weidman after the former middleweight champion suffered a nasty leg break at UFC 261. Weidman (15-6 MMA) returned to the Octagon this evening for a middleweight bout with Uriah Hall.

Weidman (15-5 MMA) will be looking to build off his recent unanimous decision win over Omari Akhmedov this past August. That victory had snapped a two-fight losing skid for ‘The All American’, as Chris had previously suffered setbacks to Ronaldo Souza and Dominick Reyes respectively.

UFC analyst Michael Bisping responded after Uriah Hall called him a “dick” for suggesting that he was knocked out by Derek Brunson. Bisping was in the commentary booth during the UFC Vegas 22 main event fight between Brunson and Kevin Holland. At one point during the fight, Bisping mentioned the fact that Brunson has a knockout win over Uriah Hall on his resume, from UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Johnson in September 2016. However, Hall wasn’t too happy that Bisping pointed it out, and instead, he called Bisping a “dick” for suggesting that Burnson had finished him.

UFC middleweight contender Uriah Hall is confident he would “f*ck up” Israel Adesanya if the two ever step into the Octagon together. Hall is currently the No. 9 ranked middleweight in the UFC and is one of the many contenders vying for a title fight against the champion Adesanya. So far in his MMA career, Adesanya is a perfect 20-0 and 9-0 in the UFC alone. He has been destroying pretty much everyone in his path, with knockout wins over the likes of Robert Whittaker and Paulo Costa. This weekend, Adesanya moves up to 205lbs in an attempt to become a double UFC champion against Israel Adesanya. Win or lose, however, “The Last Stylebender” said he still plans on moving back down to middleweight after the fight.

A middleweight fight between Chris Weidman and Uriah Hall has been removed from the UFC 258 bill after the former tested positive for COVID-19. News of the fight’s cancelation was first reported by Ariel Helwani of ESPN, the official broadcast partner of the UFC. Helwani added that the fight could be rescheduled for UFC 261 on April 24, which could potentially occur in Singapore, as recently reported by SCMP MMA’s John Hyon Ko.

In his last fight, Hall picked up arguably the biggest win of his MMA career to date when he knocked out the legend Anderson Silva on Halloween. Hall is now riding a three-fight win streak overall, with victories over Bevon Lewis and Antonio Carlos Junior prior to defeating Silva. Hall is the No. 9 ranked middleweight on the UFC roster and he will take on former champion Chris Weidman in his next bout as he looks to get closer and closer to fighting for the title, a belt that is currently held by Adesanya, whose future at 185lbs is up in the air.
