Valentina Shevchenko accepts Joanna Jedrzejczyk’s challenge
Saturday afternoon the MMA community was stunned to learn that just hours before she was scheduled to step into the Octagon to fight Valentina Shevchenko, Amanda Nunes had been pulled from the card after being hospitalized.
Without missing a beat, UFC women’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk offered to step in and fight Shevchenko on short notice given that she was already in Las Vegas. Jedrzejczyk took to social media in an attempt to pressure the UFC to help her get cleared to fight on short notice.
Valentina Shevchenko then took to social media to accept Joanna Jedrzejczyk’s challenge, and even attempted to up the stakes!
