Saturday morning, fight fans tuned in for Road FC in South Korea. On the card, famed heavyweight kickboxer turned MMA fighter, Mighty Mo, squared off against K-1 legend Hong Man Choi in a highly anticipated MMA scrap.

The fight was the third between the two men, with the pair’s previous two meetings taking place as kickboxing fights. When the pair first met in the ring in 2007 under the K-1 banner, it was Mighty Mo who left Japan with the win as he knocked out the 7’1 Korean with an overhand right. In the pair’s second meeting, it was Choi who was controversially awards a majority decision win at ‘K-1 World Grand Prix 2007’ in Seoul Korea.

The pair’s third meeting took place this morning under the Road FC banner, under MMA rules, where Mighty Mo once again left Hong Man Choi out cold on the canvas, this time in the 1st round.

While he finished his kickboxing career on a 10-fight losing streak, Mighty Mo is actually on a 4-fight win streak in MMA at the moment. At the end of 2015, Mo knocked out Mu Bae Choi. He built on the win by once again finishing Mu Bae Choi in the quarterfinals of the Road FC open-weight tournament.

Back in April, Mo was able to make it 3-straight when he picked up a 3rd round submission win over Hyun Man Myung in China in the semifinals of the Road FC open weight tournament.

With the loss, Hong Man Choi’s 2-fight win streak has now been snapped, and he has found himself eliminated from the Road FC open weight tournament.
