Former top ranked UFC middleweight Brian Stann has a very well documented past in the armed forces. Stann, a Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps was awarded the Silver Star for his actions during combat.
Back in 2013, following his KO loss to Wanderlei Silva, Stann retired from MMA, taking a very active role in broadcasting and analyzing fights with FOX.
During a recent appearance on Inside MMA, Stann spoke about his military service, and the possibility of even running for political office.
