If you’re looking to disrespect someone in the club, throwing your drink at someone is probably a good start.
One crazy, brave, or die-hard soul did just that recently in Glasgow. And who was the target of the drink flinging? None other than the current UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor.
“The Notorious” was recently in Glasgow, Scotland for his “Evening with Conor McGregor” question and answer special event. Following the interview show, the UFC champion took to the club where he was seen dancing the night away where at one point it even looked like he almost threw his infamous left hand at someone or something that was bothering him on the dancefloor.
In another video clip that was posted from what looks to be the same night out, McGregor was on the mic rallying for The Celtic Football Club, which is a professional football (soccer) club based in Glasgow, Scotland. McGregor makes a comment about the Rangers Football Club, which is also a football club in Glasgow. Both the Celtic F.C. and Rangers F.C. compete in the Scottish Premiership and have a historic rivalry.
McGregor is heard telling the crowd, “Where’s Rangers at?” The combat sports superstar then leads the crowd in a song for the Celtic F.C. singing the following:
“There’s only one team in Glasgow!
“There’s only one team in Glasgow!
“Walking along, singing a song, walking in a Celtic wonderland.”
As “The Notorious” ends his song, he starts making his way in the opposite direction where he was facing the crowd of fans and suddenly a drink comes flying through the air and lands right on McGregor. The UFC champ didn’t see this one coming as it came at him and the champ whipped back immediately looking at the crowd to try and identify the drink slinger.
While the video cuts off right after the drink throwing debacle, one would assume that the person who threw the drink at McGregor was surely dealt with by security in the club. Ironically, this isn’t Conor McGregor’s first beverage war.
