Conor McGregor, who celebrated his 30th birthday on Saturday, is currently in Moscow.

We know that he’s attending today’s World Cup final, but a recent video posted to his social media channels suggests he could be up to something else too: Building a “Russian compound” — whatever that means.

In this short video, we first see McGregor arriving in Moscow. We then see him walking down a road in wooded area, under a grey Russian sky. He is tailed by his training partner Artem Lobov, and surrounded by a veritable army of black-suited men. It’s dead quiet, but for the scrapes of their footsteps over the pavement, and the barking of an agitated dog.

“My Russian compound is taking shape,” McGregor says in the caption for this undeniably mysterious video.

But what does it all mean?

Well, some viewers will assume it has something to do with a McGregor’s much discussed fight with undefeated UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov — the biggest MMA star to come out of Russia since Fedor Emelianenko. Nurmagomedov, of course, is also attending today’s World Cup Final.

A fight between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov would be one of the biggest fights possible in MMA at present, and it seems to be one the whole world is clamoring for. The fight has also repeatedly been linked to UFC 229, which goes down October 6 in Las Vegas.

As so often seems to be the case when discussing Conor McGregor’s future, we’ll just have to wait and see.
